ABOUT SYNCRESSE

It is clear to us that organizations change, grow and increase in effectiveness when their most important resource - the people who work in them - change, grow and develop new skills.  Our work is aimed at effecting both individual development and change and the increased performance of the organization.

Syncresse offers a variety of opportunities for women to meet their professional goals and more fully contribute to their organizations, communities, families and social networks.  While our focus is on the professional lives of women we understand the line between various aspects of our lives is often artificial and blurred.  We help women broaden and deepen their perspective regarding their unique gifts and enhance their capacity to guide and lead; to have an impact on issues they care about.  Ultimately this provides greater satisfaction in their lives and enhanced results for the organizations they serve.

Syncresse Key principles

  • Differences and specifically gender differences matter.  There is plenty of research data to support the notion of differences even beyond the stereotypes we know.
  • Understanding these differences in the context of positive contribution and increased performance will enhance the organization’s results and bottom line.  Organizations that have more women in positions of influence do better on financial measures.
  • The important idea is the exploration of the differences between masculine and feminine and not as much on men vs. women.  We all have a little of both within us.  We all have a wide range of approaches and methods and that makes us unique.  Differences are gender related and not gender specific.
  • Leading is an action not a characteristic.  Behaviors that are leading behaviors can be learned and developed.  It is important to understand your personal approach that matches your strengths.
  • The feminine and masculine ways of learning are different.  Generally women respond positively to development and learning opportunities that are focused for women.  Research supports the positive outcomes when women are given training opportunities developed to address their unique learning styles.
  • In today’s environment organizations need the unique abilities that women naturally bring to the workplace.  Enhancing these feminine strengths will be positive for the organization.

Organizational Change Means Personal Development

All organizational change and focus on unprecedented results begins with individuals becoming personally aware and committed to development of new insights and behaviors/skills.
